WHERE ARE THE GEAR CHESTS IN HARBIYAH?
There are six gear chests in the Harbiya district: One outfit with two upgrade schematics and one sword with two upgrade schematics.
1 – Zanj Uprising Outfit
While doing the Investigation “Ali ibn Muhammad”, make sure you’re not only freeing one of the rebels on the boat, but to also take the Gear Chest with you. This could prove to be quite complicated, since the entrance to the room on board is blocked by shelves, like we know them from previous Assassin’s Creed titles.
To access the chest, you have to move the shelves away. There is some room to push them to the sides to make room to arrange them so you can access the back of the room on deck. Be patient and the chest reward is soon yours.
2 – Zanj Uprising Outfit Schematic
Reach the top of the Khurasan Gate Guardhouse.
There is an elevator rope you can use that the top of the courtyard wall.
On the roof is a fenced-in area with the chest inside. Notice, there is another shelf-push puzzle that you need to perform. Notice that there is a terracotta pot behind the shelf. Destroy it with your knife so you can push the shelf to the back!
Then you can just destroy the other terracotta pots to slide through and inside to the chest.
4 – Zanj Uprising Sword
The gear chest is just below the Damascus Gate Prison Main Entrance.
There is a room with a barred door just below the guards.
Get to the other side of this door. There is a hole in the metal fence wall, where you can throw a knife through to open the door.
Now you can go through the door on the other side to reach the gear chest.
5 – Zanj Uprising Sword Upgrade Schematic
This gear chest is inside a guard tower at the Metal Factory.
The chest is heavily guarded behind a barred door at the upper floor.
Go to the other side of the door. There is a small open window where you can throw a knife through to destroy the barrier.
Now you can go through the door on the other side to reach the gear chest.
6 – Zanj Uprising Sword Upgrade Schematic
Another upgrade schematic for the Zanj Uprising sword. This one can be found in the Soap Boiler’s District.
In the protected area, look for the center building with the colorful soaps spread out in front of it.
Enter at ground level and destroy the ceiling with one or two throwing knives.
Now you can climb up and open the gear chest.
WHERE ARE THE LOST BOOKS IN HARBIYAH?
There are two Lost Books in the Harbiyah District. One is called “Al-Tabari: Tafsir of Al-Tabari” and the other one Kalila Wa-Dimna.
1 – Al-Tabari: Tafsir of Al-Tabari
For the first lost book collectible in the Harbiyah district, find the secret basement entrance near the Nestorian Monastery.
Enter the basement and you’ll find another puzzle with moving shelves. On one side there is a blocked slide through passage on the bottom of a wall. You can move two shelves to free the but it is still blocked on the other side of the wall.
At the other side of the basement a shelf that you can pull towards you all the way. Do so and it will open up the blocked slide through passage. You can now slide through to get to the other side of the room.
Behind a curtain is a bookshelf with the lost book in it.
2 – Kalial wa-Dimna
This Lost Book is together with a Historical Site Orb inside a building with a barred door. First, get inside by climbing up to the open window.
Then, make sure you have a throwing knife. You can pick some up in the room with the open window. Go down the stairs and throw the knife at the red oil flask.
This will open the barred door and you can enter. Inside is the book.
WHERE ARE THE ENIGMAS IN HARBIYAH?
There are three enigma scrolls to be found in Harbiyah. Each scroll leads to a dye treasure.
1 – A Holy Hoard
The enigma scroll is inside a house on ground floor. The house is open and can be accessed without issues.
Open the scroll in your bag inventory under “Enigmas”. It shows a picture of a church with an arrow pointing to an “X-marks-the-spot” underneath a tree.
The treasure location is at the Nestorian Monastery in the north. The treasure pile is at the eastern waterside on the base of a big tree.
OUTFIT DYE:
Tan Abbasid Knight
2 – Find What I Stole!
The enigma scroll is at a campsite near the water at the base of the city walls – south west of the Qutrabbul Gate.
Open the scroll in your bag inventory under “Enigmas”. It shows a text with the title “Find What I Stole!”
The text mentions the “Soap Boilers”, which is an district south from the scroll pickup location. As you get there, the whole district is full of colorful fabrics. And the location of the treasure is not directly at the soap boilers but at the fabric market nearby.
Look for the colorful triangle fabric roofs of the market. In the center of those colorful fabric roofs is a little house. Inside is the treasure.
OUTFIT DYE:
Black Zanj Uprising Dye
3 – Left Behind
The enigma scroll is inside a room with two barred access points at this location on the map:
There is a scaffolding you can collapse to get inside through the window. The scroll is next to a dead body.
Open the scroll in your bag inventory under “Enigmas”. It shows a picture of houses by the water with a red lion or bear.
ENIGMA SOLUTION:
So obviously, there must have something happened with a bear, lion or similar animal in a village. Leave Baghdad and head to the west coast in the Wilderness District. There is an abandoned village infested with wild animals that will attack you at once.
Follow the coastline south and stay near the water until you see the hanging fish and the pier. That’s where the treasure is buried.
WHERE ARE DERVIS’ ARTIFACTS IN HARBIYAH?
There are four Dervis’ Artifacts in the Harbiyah District. An artifact has to be successfully pickpocketed and then brought back to Dervis to contribute to the rebels’ cause.
WHERE ARE THE HISTORICAL SITES IN HARBIYAH?
Historical Sites in Assassin’s Creed Mirage are easy to find. On the map, they show up with a “Historical Site” symbol and in the world, you will see a bright glowing orb. Just interact with it to get the historical information for the area. There are 13 of them in the Harbiyah district.
9 – Kalila and Dimna
This Historical Site Orb is inside a building with a barred door. First, get inside by climbing up to the open window.
Then, make sure you have a throwing knife. You can pick some up in the room with the open window. Go down the stairs and throw the knife at the red oil flask.
This will open the barred door and you can enter. Inside is the orb.

WHERE ARE THE MYSTERIOUS SHARDS IN HARBIYAH?
Mysterious Shards are carried by members of the Order. They walk around in specific places of the city, followed by guards. Even though at the beginning, the shard symbol is not visible on the map, you can – by chance – just run into one of them and require the shard. But later on, with the “Nehal” Investigation, Mysterious Shards are introduced officially and from then on, visible on the map to track.
WHERE’S THE TALE OF BAGHDAD IN HARBIYAH?
There is only one Tale of Baghdad mission in the district of Harbiyah.
Holy Mission
Talk to the monk at the cemetery of the Nestorian Monastery. He’s walking around and searching for something.
Open your Assassin’s scanner. The gravestones that you can interact with are highlighted in red. Look for one that is overgrown with flowers close to the water.
After the fight, the monk is pleased and the side quest over.
