Starting the Quest
The quest is a poster hanging at the Hernand town notice board at the start of Chapter 4.
This is a Hernand Faction Quest -> Hernand Commissions
The Poster reads:
“Looking for someone to help at the trading post.
At the trading post on the outskirts of Hernand, your job will be to deliver news to the main guild headquarters. No heavy lifting required. It’d be even better if you enjoy talking about trades with merchants. If you’re interested, please come to the trading post.
-Serge, the Merchant”

Serge’s Trading Post is northwest of Hernand town, past Rocca’s Hill. Ask him about the request.
Share the Trading Post’s Situation
The Goldleaf Guildhouse is quite a far way south. It’s easier if you’ve been there before and unlocked the fast travel platform. Now, Howling Hill is not far away from the guildhouse.
Inform Shakatu’s Soldier about Serge’s situation. This will complete the quest.
