Reach the Winter Palace

At the start of the quest, don’t use the green pipe. Instead, follow the coins around the corner and use the icy slopes to slide down the mountain.

The Winter Palace entrance door is all frozen. Use your purple wave ability to clear the ice. Then, you can enter.

At the top of the stairs in the Palace Entry Hall is a Darkmess Puddle. Fight it, and you get access to the next room. Together with the Pyrogeddon Spark. Now enter the room at the top of the stairs.

Activate the First Statue

You’re now in the statues hall. First, you need to activate the statue with the magnifying glass.

Take the door close to this statue. The one to the right on the map, where the labyrinth is. Work your way to the end of it. There is Darkmess blocking the stairs up to a button. Pick up the green triangle next to it.

Take it to the device nearby, also in the labyrinth, and put it inside. The Darkmess tentacles at the staircase will disappear, and you can go push the button at the top. Then, return to the statue hall.

Activate the Second Statue

Back in the statues hall, take the other door and go through the hallway to the door at the end. You will enter a small hall with a statue on a balcony high up. That’s where the button for the statue activation is. When you enter the wrong door, you’ll return to this hallway. So, let’s make sure you get them right, then!

There are two doors on the balcony where you arrived. The one you came from and the one to the right. Take the one to the right.

You’ll get to a long, broad corridor with windows at the back. Notice the walls with cracks. You can destroy those with your wave ability. There is a door behind one of those walls to your left. Take this door.

Now you are in a candlelit room with a golden Rabbid. There is one ice wall here that you can destroy. The door to the statue and the button to activate it are behind this door.

Solve the Constellation Puzzle in the Winter Palace

Return to the room with the two big statues at the centre of the map. At the top of the stairs is a device. Use it to activate the constellation puzzle.

There are three disks you have to rotate so the constellations fit and everything turns golden instead of blue.

Steps:
1. Activate the first disc.
2. Rotate the left constellation.
3. Align the constellations.
4. When the pattern turns gold, the puzzle is solved.

Find the Tentacle in the Winter Palace

The center door in the two statue hall is now open, and you can go through. Run up the corridor into the library. The Darkmess called “Midnite Library” is at the end of the room. Interact with it to fight Midnite.
