This part of the game constitutes the lower section of the Mountain Observatory. It connects to the next level, the Diagnostics Corridor, via intricate parkour routes. There’s also a convenient shortcut, a long elevator leading to the Rift Passage beside the Basalt Rift.

The Observatory Understructure contains six collectibles in total.

1 – Databank Entry #109

Title:
Erratic Dust

Begin your search near the Observatory Understructure Meditation Point. From there, descend the stairs and scan the large pile of black Koboh Matter. Most players will have encountered this databank during the main story, as it’s nearly impossible to miss.

2 – Treasure

From the Meditation Point, exit to the outside area. Before using the grapple balloon to ascend, take a moment to explore the right side. Climb up the metal grate to find a terrace. At the end of this pathway lies a treasure on the ground near an antenna.

3 – Treasure

Continue your ascent by grappling up the balloons until you reach a large platform filled with raiders. Take them down and climb higher to locate the Scavenger Droid hovering near the entrance’s top section.

Use a nearby white box to elevate yourself to its level and destroy the droid, which will drop a treasure item. If the droid escapes, return to the Meditation Point to reset its position.

4 – Databank Entry #107

Title:
Forfeit Your Lives

Next, drop down past the elevator room and head to the wall-run section on the opposite side. If the wall-run is set high due to story progression, use a white box on the left to climb up. Perform a series of wall-runs and metal grate jumps until you ascend to the next level.

Up here, you’ll find an Echo collectible titled “Forfeit Your Lives” lying on the ground to your left after defeating the droids.

5 – Chest

Contains:
Stim Location Upgrade

Climb further using the rotating grapple points and grates to reach the top area.

Inside a room with a broken door, squeeze through the damaged entryway to find a grapple balloon dispenser. Launch a balloon from the dispenser out of the nearest window.

Use it to ascend to the second floor, where you’ll find a chest containing a Stim Location upgrade.

6 – Chest

Contains:
Grip – Showdown

After collecting the first chest, drop back to the room’s ground level and exit through the gap. Move through the elevator room toward the far side, where you’ll find a locked door that can only be opened from the other side.

Drop down on the left side of this door and jump through a lower opening.

Perform two short wall-runs here to reach the second chest. After looting it, repeat the wall-runs to return and open the previously locked door.
