About Villa Libre
A settlement in which several preppers have gathered for safety.
People first came together in Villa Libre immediately after the Death Stranding. They helped each other to survive, and the powerful bonds they formed saw them through their toughest times. But they found it hard to have children, and those who were born often died young. In time, the inhabitants of Villa Libre grew older, until eventually only the elderly remained.
Mysterious creatures dwell in the area surrounding Villa Libre, warding off bandits, but making it difficult for the inhabitants to leave. As a result, they have lost almost all contact with the outside world.
Administrator: La Madre

A woman who had the good fortune of finding herself in Villa Libre. She used to be a bandit, though she insists she had no choice but to do whatever was needed to survive in a lawless world. She writes:
“l didn’t have the luxury of being able to consider the future – I could only think about surviving in the here and now. But that all changed when I became pregnant. The other Bandits saw me as nothing more than a burden, and I was cast out, eventually ending up at Villa Libre – a settlement inhabited exclusively by elderly people.
“My new companions’ wisdom and experience became the raw materials from which I could build our future. They taught me that today is connected to the past and forms a bridge to the future. And so I resolved to live for the sake of my child.
“But my baby still has not been born, despite reaching term.
“Will our tomorrow ever come…?”

Porter-to-Porter Advice
Struggling to find enough cargo to boost Sam’s reputation with Villa Libre? There’s a simple solution. Open the Ring Terminal menu and head to the “Orders” section. From there, navigate to the “Search” tab and select Villa Libre under “Delivery/Report Destination.” Confirm your search, and you’ll receive a list of available Order Locations for Villa Libre. It’s a quick and convenient way to make a Porter’s job a whole lot easier.
2-Star Reward
Custom Electric Rod

A melee weapon that emits a high-voltage electric current capable of rendering human targets unconscious. The rod is telescopic, giving it excellent reach. Holding it at the ready also enables you to block incoming melee attacks.
The rod can also be thrown to release a high-voltage electric shock on impact. Bear in mind, however, that rods cannot be reused once thrown. This improved version of the electric rod used by armed groups is now available for fabrication.
These rods were originally developed as telescopic walking sticks for porters to lean on while making deliveries, before being remodelled for self-defence. They soon fell into the hands of various armed groups, becoming the weapon of choice for many within their ranks,
3-Star Reward
Custom High-Voltage Rod

A reinforced melee weapon that carries a high-voltage electric current capable of rendering human targets unconscious. An upgraded version of the custom electric rod, this rod will inflict much greater damage on enemies. The rod has excellent reach due to its telescopic design, and can also be used to block enemy attacks when held at the ready.
The rod can also be thrown to release a high-voltage electric shock on impact, making it a useful weapon at any range.
After the original version of the electric rod became widely adopted by armed groups, this reinforced model was developed in an attempt to gain a tactical edge. Unfortunately, any advantage gained by their advent was short-lived, as these superior rods suffered the same fate as the previous model, quickly falling into the hands of the very hostiles they were designed to defend against.
4-Star Reward
Custom Twin Rod

A double-bladed rod that carries a high-voltage electric current capable of rendering human targets unconscious. It can be used to perform flurries of powerful strikes.
Like other rod types, this model can be thrown at distant targets, and when held at the ready, is able to be used defensively to block incoming melee attacks.
This variant of the electric rod was developed after porters called for a more powerful weapon. The level of expertise it requires, however, means that very few porters have mastered it, and it is rarely used by hostile groups.
The twin rods represent the pinnacle of electric rod development, at least for the time being, and the fierce competition to develop the next trailblazer in rod technology has quieted down for now.
