The Tar Therapist believes many of the curious phenomena that have been observed in the post-Stranding world are influenced by the tar currents, and has come up with his own theory on the matter:

“The various conditions and ailments that are affecting people in the post-Stranding world – stillbaby syndrome, supernatural phenomena, DOOMS, and so on—are all the result of chiral fields produced by the tar currents. These chiral fields interfere with the circulation and the autonomic nerves, as well as with the connection between Ha and Ka. Fixing the disruption to the tar current is difficult, but generating an anti-phase field within the body should cancel out the effects of the
chiral field. That is why I promote the practice of tar acupressure, in which the body is coated in tar before pressure is applied to key points.

“There is currently no scientific evidence showing the benefits of tar acupressure, more’s the pity. But in my experience, it is a highly effective holistic treatment, no different from aromatherapy or music therapy.”

Drawbridge Support: Golden Hunters

A BT weapon that can be fired from the DHV Magellan’s auxiliary cannon. The Tar Therapist’s research has revealed that a type of microscopic chiral crystal, known as BT crystals, equivalent to the core of a small BT, is present within the tar currents. These crystals respond to humans by adopting the form of a humanoid hunter BT. If these microscopic BT crystals are collected from the tar, they can be combined with chiral crystals to create so-called ‘hunter rockets’.

Hunter rockets will explode when in proximity to a target, allowing their BT core to absorb the chiral crystals and transform into a golden hunter, before attacking any humanoids in the vicinity.

These artificially produced BTs will not trigger voidouts, but rather drag human targets into the tar, then disappear shortly afterward. They are therefore believed to pose little risk to civilian bystanders.

It is refilled using timefall or river water, which is then filtered and mixed with stimulant compounds.

The canteen is designed in such a way that its contents will not freeze even in sub-zero temperatures.

The upgraded version includes enhanced stimulant compounds that are more effective at restoring stamina.

To Another World – Sign

Sign that sends cargo without a delivery address to another world. Place cargo near the sign, then press “Square”. A creature will detect the signal and emerge from the tar currents. Cannot send cargo dropped by enemies. No more than three of these signs can be placed at once.
