Location of the Cenote Tomb in Shadow of the Tomb Raider
The Cenote Tomb, officially called the San Cordoba, is located in the northeast of the Cenote Temple Ruins Base Camp. Completing this tomb awards you with the Caiman’s Breath II skill. Begin by following the yellow paint trail that leads to the tomb entrance.
You’ll need to climb some stairs to reach the entry point, which is underwater.
Reaching the Cenote Tomb Entrance
Dive into the water and follow the path marked by yellow paint. Along the way, you’ll find two air pockets to replenish your oxygen. When you reach a fork underwater, take the route on the right. Be prepared to encounter hostile fish. Use the underwater high grass to hide and proceed through the left tunnel until you’re swept into a pool. Exit the water and prepare to climb.
Ascending to the Base Camp
Climb up the walls and proceed through a narrow corridor at the top. This leads to a room with a pool and the Collapsed Temple base camp. At this point, you can jump into the pool or continue exploring. From here, climb the stairs that lead to the next section of the tomb.
Boarding the Shipwreck
Follow the path to the right, where you’ll need to kick a raft into the water. Use the raft to climb onto the ship.
On the deck, you’ll find a barricaded entrance on the floor. The goal is to release the cannon above and drop it onto the barricade. Use the lever nearby to position the cannon above the barricade. Then, go to the center of the ship, drop into the water, and open the gate.
Accessing the Upper Levels of the Ship
Swim through and climb back onto the deck on the opposite side. Unfortunately, the lever is stuck somewhere high up. Walk across the ship’s mast, climb higher, and follow the path through a cave to return to the ship.
Once positioned above the deck, jump onto the mast and use the device to unlock the cannon’s movement.
Final Steps to Finish the Cenote Tomb
Climb the mast and rappel swing back to the deck to use the lever. This creates a path toward the hanging box.
Climb over to the box and ascend to the top of the mast. Release the cannon, letting it drop and destroy the barricade. Use a rope arrow to create a line for descending. Finally, enter the captain’s cabin to complete the Shadow of the Tomb Raider Cenote Tomb.
Conquering the Cenote Tomb in Shadow of the Tomb Raider is a thrilling blend of underwater challenges and intricate puzzles. The reward of the Caiman’s Breath II skill not only enhances Lara’s abilities but also opens new avenues for exploration. With its immersive design and rewarding gameplay, this tomb is a highlight of the Cenote region. Keep exploring to uncover even more secrets and challenges in Lara’s epic adventure!
