1 – Veiled Edge Banners
Veiled Edge Banner collectibles serve as save and fast-travel points in Rise of the Ronin. They are sometimes, but not always located in significant and busy areas. As soon as you resolve a “Public Order” Collectible, the Veiled Edge Banners are revealed on the map.
1.1 – At the Border to Yoshida-Shinden
The initial Veiled Edge Banner stands just beyond the bridge from the Yoshida-Shinden Region. It serves as the gathering place and commencing point for the Bond Mission: The Black Jewel.
1.2 – Top of the Tower
The second Veiled Edge Banner will become active upon the restoration of Public Order in this locality. It is positioned atop the wooden tower.
1.3 – Top of the Watchtower
In the southern part of the Ota Region stands another tower, a simple Watchtower. Ascend it using the available grapple points.
2 – Public Order
“Public Order” collectible events are locations in a region that enemies occupy. Free the area by killing all the enemies in the area. This will strengthen the bond with the villagers.
2.1 Northern Tower
At the northern center of the Ota Region stands a towering structure atop a mountain, amidst a Public Order disturbance. Within this event, five bandits await defeat, two of them notably formidable – the fugitives Kamekichi of the Firehook and Chokichi Kageyama. Upon restoring Public Order, access to the nearby Veiled Edge Banner is granted automatically.
2. Southern Tower
The second and final Public Order Event in the Ota Region is located in the southwestern part of the map. Adjacent to it stands a tower displaying a Veiled Edge Banner. The event involves a total of six bandits, out of which three are deemed “formidable foes”.
3 – Fugitives
“Fugitive” Collectibles are bounty-hunting quests, where you have to find and defeat a fugitive.
Both fugitives in the Ota Region can be found together at the Public Order / Unruly Area Event in the center of the map. Kamekichi of the Firehook is standing below the tower, while Chokichi Kageyama is at the tower.
4 – Shrine
You don’t have to go far for this Shrine. It’s on top of the mountain in the south of the Ota Region. You could even glide there from the Veiled Edge Tower high in the mountains.
5 – Cats
The cat collectible is a real cat, not some kind of statue that you have to find. As you travel around the region, listen closely. You may hear a meowing from a cat. This means you are very close. Reach the Cat and pet it.
6.1 – Southwest Encampment
In the southwest of the Ota Region lies an encampment, also hosting one of the two “Public Order” Events. Once you liberate the camp from the bandits, ascend the alarm bell tower within. Utilize the rope provided to reach the summit, allowing you to glide to the opposite side where the cat awaits. Refer to the accompanying screenshot for guidance.
6.2 – Border to Tobe
Another watchtower stands at the border of the Tobe Region. To reach the summit, where the cat is, ascend using the three grappling points around it.
6 – Treasure Chest
Treasure Chests are big unmissable chests that have to be found in the region.
In the Bond Mission “The Black Jewel”, which starts at the border to Yoshida-Shinden, you have to go retrieve the mysterious foreigner’s luggage from a cave. Follow the mission marker into the cave to the first campsite area inside the cave with a lot of high grass to hide in. With the cave exit in your back, take the corridor to the left. There is a small room down below but instead of going down to the left, you climb up the rock wall to the right, where an archer is guarding the Treasure Chest. It’s the only one in the Ota Region.
