Enter Meadow Range and go south. Close to the Desert entrance is a big round pink area. As soon as you approach it, you will get the Unknown Residue Quest in Potion Permit.
1 – Talk to Myer
You’ve met Myer at the start of the game. He’s the Mayor. So you can find him either at the Town Hall, top floor, or in his house in the south west of the map.
2 – Inspect Myer’s Archives
Don’t leave his office just yet. Look at the cabinet, where the big yellow exclamation mark is. Interact with it.
3 – Craft Iris Vial
Return to the cauldron at Potion House. You can now brew the Iris Vial Potion.
You can brew it with 6 ingredients. Upgrade your cauldron if you haven’t done so yet.
4 – Deliver Iris Vial
Take the Vial to Myer at the Town Hall. Talk to him and select the yellow exclamation mark. After the cutscene, you will have healed the pink goo at Meadow Range and finished the Quest.
