The Upper West Side is in the northwest of the in-game map of New York City with seven different side activities. All of them are introduced in the main quest. Check out the overview map below if you’re just looking for a single item or go through it step-by-step to achieve 100% completion in the Upper West Side. Those activities will give you tech parts, rare tech parts, and city tokens. You will get additional Hero Tokens for a 100% district completion.
Some of these activities can be started with the FNSM App – The Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man App by swiping your controller or by opening it in the in-game menu.
Finishing every single activity in the whole of New York will reward you with new suits.
There is only one of many photo op locations in the Upper West Side and here’s where it is. To take the photo swipe up on your controller to open up photo mode. Then, move your camera until you see the notification “Subject in Focus” – now you can take the picture.
KINDA FANBOYS – PHOTO OP
There are two fanboys being filmed on the top of a roof at the center of the Upper West Side. I’m sure they don’t mind Spidey taking a picture of them.
This prowler stash is the first and is covered in the Spider-Man 2 main mission. Miles’ uncle Aaron will take him through step-by-step.
HUNTER BLINDS AND HUNTER BASE
The map below shows the three locations of Hunter Blinds and the Base. In the Upper West Side Hunter Base, clear the roof to complete the objectives. Deactivate 4 Hunter Lasers and interact with the Communications Console. Use R3 to scan the area for objectives and mission markers.
To disable the Hunter Lasers, get as close as possible and scan them with R3. Look for the power cable and follow it to the power box. Use R1+L1 to disconnect it. You only need to find and interact with the Communications Console to complete the Hunter Base. The lasers are a bonus.
ALL SPIDER-BOTS LOCATIONS IN THE UPPER WEST SIDE
In the Upper West Side District, you’ll find three Spider-Bots. Check out the overview map below for easy reference of all three Spider-Bot collectibles.
The Dusk Spider-Bot is located at the southeastern corner of the map in the Upper West Side. Locate the tallest building, climb it, and examine the wall on its eastern side.
Inspect the walls of a red-bricked building in the north, near the border to Harlem.
Reach the highest point of the building in the southwestern corner of the Upper West Side Map. There, you’ll spot Spider-Girl crawling the wall facing the water.
This Unidentified Targets side activity is in the center of the Upper West Side District. Look for two metal birds cycling an apartment building. Get to the roof and interact with the transmitter. You then have to follow the bird through the wind canal before it escapes. In the slipstream, you just have to steer left and right to follow it.
The nest is on the western side of the Upper West Side’s map in the park, where train tracks go down into a tunnel. The red glowing heart of the nest is inside the tunnel. Place a sonic bomb and defend it until the time has run off.
