1 – REQUEST INTRODUCTION

Akame immediately asks Kiryu what he knows about the Namioka Family. Kiryu responds that he has never heard of them. Akame then explains that the Namioka Family used to be part of Omi, but disappeared after the patriarch left. However, there are rumors that they have returned to Sotenbori and are active. Concerned about the Namioka Family operating in secrecy, Akame asks Kiryu to investigate. She mentions that she heard the Namioka patriarch might be passing through South Shochofuko at that moment, which is where their office is located.

2 – INVESTIGATE THE NAMIOKA FAMILY IN SOUTH SHOCHOFUKO

This is where Kiryu begins his investigation into the Namioka Family. You gain control over him, but there is no mission marker to follow. Akame hints that the Namioka patriarch can be found near the office in the South Shochofuko area.

To continue the investigation, leave the office and head to the main road. The main menu map won’t provide any guidance, so keep a close eye on the minimap. Look for a red-eye icon on the street. Once you spot it, approach it closely on the minimap to trigger a cutscene.

In the cutscene, Kiryu notices the Namioka Family patriarch with two of his men walking down the street. Suddenly, a woman with blue hair comes running and accidentally bumps into Kiryu while he’s trying to follow the patriarch. Kiryu apologizes to the woman, known as the “Showy Old Woman,” who seems to recognize him. As Kiryu recalls their past encounter, he starts feeling uneasy. The old woman is convinced that she knows Kiryu as someone named “Juntaro,” and Kiryu decides to play along. To ensure he remembers her, she repeats her name a couple of times: Etsuko. It seems she is delighted to see Kiryu again and implies that he feels the same way. She expresses her frustration that Kiryu ended their previous romantic involvement. Apparently, Etsuko and Juntaro had a brief fling, but she wanted more. Furthermore, she implies that Kiryu is still in love with her and suggests going on a date. Kiryu explains that he is currently occupied with work and suggests rescheduling for another time. Etsuko agrees and departs.

Kiryu contacts Akame, informing her that he has lost track of the Namioka Family patriarch. He seeks her assistance in providing another hint for their whereabouts, which leads him to the Sotenbori Theatre.

3 – INVESTIGATE THE NAMIOKA FAMILY ON SOTENBORI STREET

The next investigation marker is in the north of Sotenbori, near Club SEGA. Like before, the red-eye investigation marker is only visible on the minimap. So pay attention to it when walking the streets. Again, you have to get very close to the marker to start the next cutscene.

Again, notice the investigation marker, and red-eye symbol in the mini-map.

In the cutscene, Kiryu hasn’t spotted Namioka yet, but he believes it’s a good spot to wait for him. Suddenly, he sees Namioka with the same group of men on the road. Just as Kiryu is about to follow them, he hears Etsuko loudly calling out for “Juntaro.” Although Kiryu can’t see her, Etsuko continues shouting his name. The game presents options for reacting to her, but regardless of what you choose, you will encounter Etsuko again. She is delighted to see him and Kiryu kindly asks her to refrain from yelling for him in the future as it makes him uncomfortable. Meanwhile, Namioka and his men walk away in the distance. Etsuko keeps talking, asking for Kiryu’s help to buy fresh bread for the next day. Kiryu starts feeling unwell, and Etsuko, feeling sorry, offers him some candy and advises him to rest a bit to feel better. After she leaves, Kiryu once again loses the trail of Namioka.

Once again, Kiryu contacts Akame to let her know that he couldn’t track Namioka. She provides him with a new lead – a club located in East Shofukucho.

4 – INVESTIGATE THE NAMIOKA FAMILY BY THE EAST SHOFUKUCHO CLUB

The last investigation marker is in the center of the map. Just northwest of the park. Like before, the red-eye investigation marker is only visible on the minimap. So pay attention to it when walking the streets. Again, you have to get very close to the marker to start the next cutscene.

Again, notice the investigation marker, and red-eye symbol in the mini-map.

In the cutscene, Kiryu waits in a corner of a small alley for Namioka’s arrival. He observes as they enter the club and follows suit, finding them already waiting for him. Recognizing him from their previous encounter at Sotenbori Street, they question if he is Omi, to which he denies. Curious, they inquire about why Kiryu followed them into the club. He feigns ignorance, leading to their suspicion and subsequent surrounding of him. Noting his calm demeanor despite not being Omi, Kiryu decides to continue playing dumb. Just as he does, he hears Etsuko’s voice once again, calling out for Juntaro. Happily surprised to see Kiryu, she implies that they are lovers. This revelation amuses the other men, who now understand why Kiryu may have felt embarrassed to encounter her. They leave the pair alone, walking away. Etsuko then implies that Kiryu was stalking her and threatens to call the police if he continues to do so. Grateful for her assistance, Kiryu thanks her and she reiterates that he should refrain from stalking her. She then tries to forcefully hug him, reminiscent of their interaction 13 years ago, while Kiryu desperately tries to fend her off.

Shortly after, Kiryu contacts Akame to inform her of the situation. Although he was unable to uncover any information about Namioka, she still compensated him as promised.
