There are 31 bounties in Ghost of Yotei. Visit the region’s inn to pick up bounties from the main board or find smaller boards near roads. After defeating the target, collect their loot, which may include hats, masks, helmets, or weapon kits. Return to Kojiro by the Bounty Board to claim your coins.

“Ezo is filled with a variety of killers, criminals, and outlaws whose misdeeds have earned a price on their head. Collecting these bounties can be a lucrative way to make extra coin.
Bounties are often posted at bounty boards. Once completed, they can be turned in to Bounty Broker Kojiro for a reward.”

A Brokered Trust
Keep hunting bounties until Kojiro the Bounty Broker wants to talk to you about a bounty put on his head in the Oshima Coast region. Meet him at the Matsumae docks not far from the bounty board.
Wait for him and deal with the attackers. Then ride with Kojiro to the drop-off point. Fight all attackers to pass Kojiro’s test.
Bear Man Chikatoshi
Description:
“A murderer, more beast than man, who mauls his victims. Last seen within the Shizunai Woods.”
At Shizunai Woods, Tokachi Range, look for dead people, starting with one on a stone outside the woods.
Examine the body and follow the trail into the woods. Investigate everybody you come across. When you reach the third body, a bear will attack. After defeating the bear, Bear Man Chikatoshi will appear. Defeat him and loot his body to collect his weapon kit.
Black Night Kubo
Description:
“A killer dressed in black who haunted Teshio Ridge long before any fox spirit. Last seen at a duelling ring in the Sentinel Forest.”
At Sentinel Forest at Teshio Ridge, head north from the crossroads and keep to the right of the bamboo wall to find the duelling ring. Read the banner and clap the woodblocks to summon Black Night Kubo. Make sure it is nighttime, and you’re wearing black. Either visit the Black Dye House or wear the Nine Tail Armour.

Black Powder Ippei is carrying his own bounty poster and can be found just south of the Windy Meadow, Yotei Grasslands, practising with his gunpowder.
Bloody Strings Hachibee
Description:
“A murderer who travels with a wandering caravan. Last seen east of the Stone Jaw Coast, beneath the cliffs of Ishikari Castle.”
Talk to the caravan leader at this camp on the Stone Jaw Coast in Ishikari Plain. Play the Shamisen for them. Move from group to group while playing to find him.
Blue Yamauba
Description:
“A blue-faced witch who preys on raiders and innocents alike. Last seen at Ishikari Fork.”
At Ishikari Fork, Ishikari Plain, stay on the road and save a settler who is bothered by bounty hunters who are looking for the Blue Yamauba. He will give you a Blue Yamauba Drawing of the mask she is wearing.
Travel to Oni’s Breath Inn at Ishikari Fork to talk to Saburo the Mask Artisan. It’s at Urara Forest. He will tell you where the Blue Yamouba lives. Not far from Oni’s Breath Inn at the Blackened Homestead in the northeast. Defeat the Oni Raiders there and enter the house to investigate the bowl, a pile of masks, and a doll.

Crow Genzo
Description:
“Assassin for the Yotei Six who mostly targets samurai. Blinds his victims and feeds them to crows. Last seen in the cemetery in the western part of Jade Grove.”
Enter the Blue-Flowered Cemetery in the northern parts of the Jade Grove. Investigate the notes and the bodies left behind. Another Ronin bounty hunter will attack you in the cemetery. Keep following the path up to the top, where you will face off Crow Genzo right next to the Altar of Reflection.

Eagle Eye Kondo
Description:
“A scout for clan Saito whose loyal eagles are always watching. Last seen offshore the Esan Inlet under a cherry blossom tree.”
Travel to the Esan Inlet, a small coastal stretch in the southeast of the Oshima Coast region. Eagle Eye Condo is under the cherry blossom tree. There is a nearby Matsumae, hiding from the bird’s sight. The birds in the sky will spot you as you approach. You can shoot them down from a distance once they land.
Eijiro the Ruthless
Description:
“Brutal taskmaster for the Oni Raiders who works his labourers to death. Last seen running the Higashi Lumberyard west of Urara Forest.”
The Higashi Lumberyard is just northwest of Oni’s Breath Inn at Ishikara Plain. He’s in the courtyard at the base of the tower. There is a gap you can squeeze through to reach the courtyard, which starts the face off.

Description:
“Wanted dead or alive by Lord Saito. A dangerous loner who dares to defy the Kitsune’s rule. Last seen in Teshio Ridge near Owl Mountain.”
You will visit and befriend Enomoto in the story.
Ghost of Yotei
Description:
“Wanted dead or alive. A cold-blooded mercenary responsible for the burning of Sentinel Forest. She will blame fox spirits – but do not fall victim to superstition. Last seen in <wherever you are atm>.”
That’s Atsu’s highest Bounty stage.
Hanbei The Dual Katana Master
Description:
“Wanted dead or alive by Lord Saito. A Former bounty hunter who tried to take Lord Saito’s life and lost an arm for his arrogance. Last seen on Mount Yotei. Beware of traps.”
You will visit and befriend Hanbei in the story.
Houndmaster Toyotaro
Description:
“A sick bastard who’s trained wild dogs to attack and eat travellers. Last seen in the mountain pass southwest of the Teshio River.”
South of Teshio River in the Teshio Ridge region is an unnamed location with kennels where Houndmaster Toyotaro is walking around with his dogs.
Inagawa the Gambler
Description:
“Notorious gambler, extortionist, and murderer. Owns the Bifuka Sake House. Wanted dead or alive. Last seen at the sake house between the Red Crane Inn and the Sentinel Forest.”
Travel to the Bifuka Sake House, Teshio Ridge, enter, and talk to the man at the round table. Play and win the game – if you can. There is something wrong with them. If he wins, he will tell someone to take the coins upstairs. A settler in the house will tell you to swap out his coins.
Climb up to the second floor from the outside, climb inside, and swap the coins. Exit through the window and go inside to play another game and win. Then fight him outside.
Inokichi the Hungry
Description:
“A brutal enforcer for Lord Saito who steals from farmers to feed his master’s army. Wanted alive. Signal for retrieval. Last seen at the mill near the Huranui Cliffs.”
The Huranui Cliffs are north of Huranui’s Rest Inn. Inokichi the Hungry is at the named location, The Huranui Mill in the Tokachi Ridge region.

Iron Chuta
Description:
“A rising bounty hunter who targets samurai in the name of Lord Saito. Last seen camping near the Moiwa Grotto.”
To find the Iron Chuta bounty at Tokachi Range, you first have to go inside the Moiwa Grotto and help the Matsumae soldiers in the cave. After completing this mission, the Iron Chuta bounty will appear at Huranui’s Rest Inn at Tokachi Range. You will then meet a ronin at Moiwa Grotto, who will tell you where Chuta is.
Look for a dead samurai in a clearing north of the Niikappu River. Not far from the Pillar of the Fallen. Investigate the corpse to summon Iron Chuta.

Iwa the Beautiful
Description:
“A courtesan who murdered a samurai in cold blood. Last seen at the Benten Port gambling den.”
Talk to the woman at the Gambling Den at Benten Port, Oshima Coast. It’s just opposite of Ginji the Armourer. She will mark a location on the map. At the location, a group of people is having an argument. Talk to the man and ask about Iwa. A fight will erupt, and you have to defeat the men.
He will then spill the beans and send you to a house that is covered with orange leaves at Benten Port. It’s the house right next to the gift altar. The house is locked down but has a hatch on the roof.
Junpei the Snatcher
Description:
“A kidnapper. Also wanted for extortion and illegal weapons sales. Last seen near Boar’s Eye Cave.”
In the north of Tokachi Range is the Boar’s Eye Cave. There is a ronin standing in front of the cave entrance, playing an instrument. Speak to him and follow him into the cave. Soon, he will remember who you are and attack.
After defeating him, climb the ladder and exit to the outside at the top. Defeat the other bounty hunters. At the top of the hill, look for another ladder that takes you down again, with more bounty hunters to defeat. Free the man in the cave and follow him outside, where you will meet and defeat Junpei the Snatcher.
Malevolent Hunter
Description:
“Wanted dead or alive by Lord Saito. Known associate of the treacherous dual katana master Hanbei. Bring them in together for twice the reward.”
This is Atsu after progressing in the story.
Nameless Killer
Description:
“Someone is kidnapping and murdering locals, then leaving their bodies in the snow. Investigate and find this nameless killer. Last seen east of Teshio Coast.”
Investigate the campsite and bodies near the Teshio Coast Nine Tails hideout. You will then see members of the Nine Tails running to the Snow’s Blight Shrine – the Snow’s Blight Hideout Entrance. The Nameless Killer is inside the Hideout, behind the main building – near the Altar of Reflection.
Old Lady Yae
Description:
“Offers tea before murdering travellers. Does not work alone. Last seen at night north of the Twin Ponds, near Hidaka Grove.”
Old Lady Yae only appears at night. You can camp and wait until the evening. Then go to Twin Ponds Hidaka, in the east of the Tokachi Range region. She will offer you tea at a campfire in the northern parts of Twin Ponds Hidaka, at Hidaka Grove. She will drop a Katana weapon kit after her defeat.
Shinpachi the Armour Thief
Description:
“Devoted commander to Lord Saito. Brutally seized Kasuga Village and strung up samurai as a warning to others. Last seen in Kasuga Village, north of the Esan Inlet.”
Defeat all of Saito’s men at Kasuga Village in the east of Oshima Coast. The last of Saito’s men will then tell you where to find Shinpachi the Armour Thief in the village. Squeeze through a gap in the southern parts of the village to start the duel.
Shiro the Swindler
Description:
“An extremely dangerous thief who cannot be trusted. Armed with a musket. Last seen camping on the cliffs at Yokai’s Nest.”
Shiro the Swindler’s camp is at Yokai’s Nest. Examine everything in this camp to meet Shiro. This will start “The Great Jigoku Gambit mission. At the end, you will receive the bounty and the Sly Thief Mask as a reward.

Smiling Yoshitomo
Description:
“A murderer who lures in the weary at a campsite marked by lanterns. Last seen along the Sarubetsu River near Tranquil Falls.”
At Tranquil Falls in the Yotei Grasslands region, look for the Weary Traveller’s Camp and investigate it. Read the note on the tree – Welcome, Weary Travellers, and build a fire. There is fresh salmon in the river and a bottle of sake on a tree stump. – After cooking the fish, Yoshitomo will arrive.
Snake’s Assassin
Description:
“Wanted dead or alive by Lord Saito. A cowardly woman who murdered the Snake after poisoning his sake. Do not believe the rumours – she is no onryo. She is flesh and blood. Last seen in Yotei Grasslands.”

Soma the Condemned
Description:
“A murderer and gifted flute player. His haunting music heralds death.”
Lake Jozan is in the northwestern corner of the map, near Mount Yotei in the Yotei Grasslands. As you approach the area, you will hear someone playing a flute. There are also hostile patrols in the area. Climb the stairs into the cave. There is a big, closed gate. Play the same song on the Shamisen when prompted. Song of Soma will be available.
The gate opens, and you can follow the path behind it. At the end is a cave with two blocked passages. One of them leads to the exit, and the other one to Soma.
I received the Bounty Master Armour and the Bounty Master Headband after his defeat.
Tadaaki the Terrible
Description:
“A ruthless commander in clan Saito’s army who buries his victims to their necks and watches them starve. Wanted alive. Signal for retrieval. Last seen in Miyama Village in the Tokuyama Hills.”
He’s in the higher section of the occupied Miyama Village in the north of Oshima Coast. Defeat him and stay with him as his soldiers attack.
Description:
“A ruthless commander in clan Saito’s army who buries his victims to their necks and watches them starve. Wanted alive. Signal for retrieval. Last seen in Miyama Village in the Tokuyama Hills.”
Takashi The Yari Master
Description:
“Wanted dead or alive by Lord Saito. A violent yari sensei who rebels against the Oni. Last seen in Ishikari Plain on an island near Howling Cove.”
You will visit and befriend Takashi during the story.
The Last Brother
Description:
“The last of four mercenary brothers – and the most bloodthirsty. Last seen northeast of the Shojin Hills, near a tree with white leaves.”
Travel to the Shojin Hills in the east of the Oshima Coast. Look for a tree with white leaves, up the mountain in the northeastern parts of Shojin Hills. Follow the path riddled with bodies and ronin bounty hunters to a camp. Keep following the path to find the Ronin Gravesite. Read all grave stones and the Last Brother will arrive.
The New Lord
Description:
“Turns out Lord Kato is that swindler, Shiro. He won’t fool me again. One wrong move and I’m collecting the bounty on his head.”
This is the follow-up Bounty quest of “The Wayward Oni Raiders” with Shiro the Swindler. Return to Lord Kato at the Matsumae Residences to find out that Lord Kato is Shiro. Follow him to the docks to defeat more Oni Raiders.

Description:
“This so-called vengeful spirit needed the help of a samurai to make an attempt on the Oni’s life. And still, she failed. Last seen at Ishikari Castle.”
This is Atsu, after the story has advanced.
The Three Terrors
Description:
“Kanekichi, Magosuke, and Sougoro. A deadly trio who torture samurai. Last seen in a cave uphill from Serpent’s Pass.”
Find the Twisted Tree in the north of the Serpent’s Pass in the northeast of Yotei Grasslands and talk to the wounded Matsumae. Then, enter the nearby cave. Two of the Three Terrors are inside the cave. Work your way down (There is an Altar of Reflection at the top of the cave). The last of the three is outside. Take the cave exit at the bottom of the cave.
The Tooth Breaker
Description:
“A sadistic torturer who disfigures his victims and keeps their teeth as trophies. Last seen by a ronin where the Oyobe River meets the sea.”
The Tooth Breaker starts at a camp right where the Oyobe River enters the sea in the Oshima Coast region.
The ronin there will tell you that the Tooth Breaker is at Hakodate Shore. Head south of Hakodate Shore to find a settler screaming in the distance. As you approach, you will find Mad Goro’s House and the Tooth Breaker.
‘The Traitorous Raider’ Mad Goro
Description:
“Made off with the Oni’s prized musket. The Oni will personally reward whoever returns the weapon and the thief – ALIVE.”
This is a story bounty found at the market of Ishikari Plains. Talk to the barman at Ishikari Market to start the “Mad Pursuit” quest. Eavesdrop in the bar by looking around. After the cutscene, head to Iwami Village, just across the river. Ask the villages about Mad Goro. Next stop is Bear Rock, northwest of the village. You will find his camp. Investigate the crater and a smashed Oni mask.
Some Ronin arrive. After their defeat, a Ronin will tell them that they’ve seen Oni floating in the river. Follow Jubei north until arriving at an Oni Raider camp. Defeat them and investigate the camp. Soon, you will find Mad Goro.
Toshi the Torch
Description:
“Oni Raider and arsonist whose obsession with fire rivals his master. Last seen in a cave on the northern coast of Otaru Beach.”
You’ll find a cave at Otaru Beach with a Matsumae clan member standing guard outside. Toshi the Torch is inside.

Turtle Man Kamekichi
Description:
“A fisherman who drowns Ronin. Collect his mask as proof of death. Last seen fishing east of Nakagoya Spring.”
Kamekichi is hiding in the Nohoro Cave at the east of Nakagoya Spring, at the map border of Ishikara Plain. There are a couple of Oni camping in front of the camp.

“Wanted dead or alive by Lord Saito. Known associate of the treacherous dual katana master Hanbei. Bring them together for twice the reward.”
This is Atsu as the story progresses.
Wayward Oni Raiders
Description:
“A band of Oni Raiders has made their way to the Oshima Coast. Lord Kato will pay good coin for their lives. Visit Lord Kato’s estate in the Matsumae Residences for details.”
Find Kato’s residence in the southern parts of the Matsumae Residences and talk to the man there. You will learn that the Oni Raiders were spotted north of the Atago Rice Fields, where you first arrived on the Oshima Coast.
From the Oshima Coast Entrance, head further north to find the Oni Raiders. Return to Lord Kato to start the follow-up Bounty: The New Lord.
Yoshida the Odachi Master
Description:
“A Matsumae soldier who attempted to assassinate the Dragon and the Spider. Last seen near Horosaru Falls.”
Another Ally to befriend in the story.
