Gatomon is a Champion Digimon, which is the second form, and his strength is “Special”.
Gatomon is a Moral (Vaccine) Digimon (see the Drop symbol) and therefore STRONG AGAINST WRATHFUL (VIRUS) Digimon (the ones with the Virus symbol).

A naughty monster brimming with curiosity. Gatomon’s body is small but its appearance belies its true power.
WHERE TO FIND
There is at least one Battle area in each named big area on the World Map. Additionally, you can find monsters by scanning all areas with your camera. See areas, where you can find Gatomon below:

When fighting with Digimon, you can also choose to talk to them. They will ask you one of seven question and you can fill a bar above them. When you manage to fill three of the six cubes to fill the bar, it will turn friendly and you can either ask it to join or to give you an item.

“I don’t care if you smile, or laugh, or whatever! I ain’t gonna trust no human!” –> I TRUST YOU. / I’LL EARN YOUR TRUST!
“Go on… Try guessing what I think of ya!” –> THAT I’M FUNNY! / THAT I’M COOL!
Hey, what kinda food do ya like?” –> FRUIT’S MY FAVOURITE.
SKILL
“Cat’s Eye” – Passive Skill
Low chance of confusing target when attacking.

“Lightning Paw”
Deals Light damage to target(s), with a moderate chance of confusing them.
The Lightning Paw Attack has an Effect of 150 and costs 25 Skill Points. The range is 2 squares with an area of effect of one.
RESISTANCES
Units have individual resistances to Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, Light and Dark element skills. The higher the resistance, the less damage they receive from a corresponding skill. Also, equipping certain Enhancement items can boost these resistances.
