Chapter 3: The Face Behind the Mask Overview

This is the last quest of five in the “The Face Behind the Mask” story block in Chapter 3.

Completing these five quests will lead to the third story block in Chapter 3: “Pioneering”.

Starting the Quest

“Seed of Unease” is the last quest of the story block “The Face Behind the Mask” in Chapter 3. It starts right after following the Reed Devil to the Mountain of Frozen Souls Hearth in the Quest: “Seed of Unease.”

Quest Description:
“A chilling wind carrying the scent of blood blows through the reed field. He is close. Defeat the devil that threatens the Greymanes.”

Defeat the Devil of the Reed Field

The fight against the Reed Devil has three parts. In the first part, I used Force Palm a lot, followed by a Forward Slash. In the second part, you have to destroy the four reed poles. Dodge and run to them to destroy them as quickly as you can. In the third part, I learned Swift Stab, a subversion of “Stab”. And I used this a lot.

Surviving the third part will complete the quest and the story block: The Face Behind the Mask. Next is Pioneering with six quests.

With the Reed Devil gone, the locations Glenbright Farm, Emberwind Workshop, and Pollengarth Apiary are now liberated.
