GreedFall 2: All 11 Deep Tunnels Chest Locations and Explosives

1. First Mining Area

Right after you enter the mine, the chest sits between the two destructible walls. Climb the ladder on the right to reach it.

2. Bridge Repair 1

In the same area, repair the broken bridge with a Makeshift Tool or a high enough Craftsmanship skill. The chest waits on the other side.

3. Second Mining Area

Take the southern corridor deeper into the mine and keep heading east. The chest is in the second mining area.

4. Threatened Native

Cross the bridge to reach the area where a Native is under threat. Rescue them to find the next chest.

5. Cave of Knowledge

Proceed to the northeast section of the cave, where you will find the Cave of Knowledge. Here, an Elder awaits, seeking fish scales to help purify nature, starting the “The Missing Scales” Lake Region Quest. Notably, this chest cannot be opened through lockpicking, suggesting it contains the quest reward.

6. Northernmost Chest

In the northernmost part of the mine, climb the ladder to reach the chest at the top.

7. Bridge Repair 2

Head south through the room, past a ladder and a blocked passage that needs explosives. Skip the ladder leading east and keep going south. Repair the bridge there to reach a well-lit chest.

8. Chest with a Trap

Near the second bridge repair, a chest is secured with a trap. Disarm the trap before you open it.

9. Restricted Area

In the corridor of the restricted area, another chest is protected by a trap. Disarm it before opening the chest.

10. Chest with Explosives – Free the Trapped Miners

The main room of the restricted area holds a box with three TNT charges, the powerful explosives you need in A New Evil. Three Bridge Alliance guards watch this room. Sneak past them or fight them, but if they spot you, a fight starts and your reputation with the Bridge Alliance drops. Use one charge on the wall to the west to free the trapped miners, and the other two on the remaining blocked passages in the Deep Tunnels.

11. Behind the Blocked Wall

Go back to the first mining area at the mine entrance and use a TNT charge to blast the blocked passage. Then climb to the highest point to reach the chest.
