Whisper’s of Quartz follows right after Styx and the team has escaped with Irwing’s Zeppelin in “A Way Through The Wall.” In Whispers of Quartz, Styx has to find and absorb seven Quartz shards. Three at the Empire Wall, one at Akenash Ruins and another three at Turquoise Dawn. Here’s where and how to find them all.

Description
Flush with power after absorbing a Quartz shard, Styx fells unstoppable. Jasper crafts a map that reacts to the Quartz in his body, pointing the way to more. Hungry for strength, Styx is eager to follow it – but Djarak warns him: Quartz changes those who wield it, and not for the better.
Jasper examines Styx, but her expertise lies with Quartz, not people. To understand what’s happening to him, they’ll need more shards. Styx agrees without hesitation – and keeps his growing bond with the Flux to himself.
Use The Map
The first mission step is to use the map. Before you do that, take your time to pick up a Blueprint it Jasper’s workshop and talk to Helledryn. She can be found in the bottom belly of the Zeppelin. The two will discuss the relic found in Helledryn’s Mission. Talk to Helledryn again to receive the Helledryn’s Score 1 Crew Mission.
The map is in the room at the very top of the Zeppelin.
Shards of Quartz at the Empire Wall
The Smuggler’s Goods – The Wall
“The Smuggler’s Quartz Shard waits to change hands between two gang members – but the glittering fragment’s fate is far from certain.”
From the Wailing Widow Tavern Fast Travel point, look down to the right when standing on the docks. Climb down using all your climbing skills and sneaking skills.
Reaching this location does not have a right or a wrong path. Here are the steps I took. First, of course, the same level as the target house has to be reached.
The best access point into the house is at the back. There is a crawlspace you can reach. To get there. Use an overhead bridge that goes across the house’s front entrance. Drop down at the other side and sneak to the back to the crawlspace.
To reach the Quartz Shard, interact with the bookshelf first, then head upstairs. There is a book on the table to read. You need to find a statuette to activate the mechanism. Exit the house through the crawlspace and turn left. There is a hanging ship. Climb into it and out again at the other side, where you can see through a metal gate into a house. There seems to be a blue shine under the table. Get under there and use the “spy” option.
Two men will enter the room to discuss the Quartz deal. Follow them discretely back to the room with the Quartz. They will open the hidden door. Be patient and wait for one of them to leave before taking care of the other one and absorbing the Quartz.
The Stonebreaker’s Fragment – The Wall
“Running after Quartz, Styx makes his way to the Wall Worker’s Lift. It’s powered by a Quartz shard, hauling orcs, humans, and vital supplies between the construction site and the prisons above. But if that shard dies, the whole fragile order collapses – and Styx knows better than anyone how fast chaos spreads.”
From the roof of Helledryn’s Hideout, look past the pillar of wind towards the glowing chains and you will spot the Quartz shard behind a metal fence, amongst the worker’s lift mechanism. You can cross over further down towards the Wailing Widow Tavern.
Once at the base of the structure, you can take the staircase to the next level. There is a lever her that you can use to drop the bridge, which makes further exploring easier.
Go through the door here – careful always check if someone’s inside – and exit at the other side. Notice that the Quartz shard is just above you. At the other side of this room is a crawlspace that you can use to reach a staircase going up.
From up there, you can reach another staircase leading further up to the Quartz shard. There are guards though. Use the outside staircase rails to get to the top.
You now get two options to reach the Quartz shard – as shown in the first screenshot below. This means you have to use two levers, left and right, to lower the Quartz.
On the left side lever, the lever is missing and needs to be tracked down first with Amber vision. Follow the glowing footsteps to a table with a letter. It says that the lever is in the “wagon building” on the ground floor.
The wagon building is the building next to the train tracks and a train wagon. The big metal gate is closed but it can be accessed through a hole in the floor with a rope. Down there, look for a shop of some sorts near the gate with a lever. The lever part is on the counter.
Note: A few steps away from this counter, around the corner, is a workshop with a blueprint.
Return to the lever mechanism that is missing a lever and use the found lever on it. Now the Quartz is lowered half way down. On to the other lever on the other side of the structure. You can just use the doors on the same level to reach the other side. Walk on the ledge outside to reach an open window.
There is a big guard and a normal guard in there. You can deal with the normal guard swiftly and completely ignore the big guy and just use the lever to fully lower the shard. Back outside, you will see that the shard is now lowered – there are only some extra guards now.
The Gangmark Fix – The Wall
“Styx is hunting Quartz. The Gangbuilding Shard powers the gang’s massive ballista – their pride and line of defense for the whole area. Trouble is, pride often comes with a nasty habit of blowing up everything around it.”
The Gang’s building is close to the Worker’s lift and behind the Wailing Widow Tavern.
With a ballista on the front roof, approach from the front is impossible. There is a big open passage to an indoor workshop at the far back, behind the ballista. Look for the staircase and move upstairs.
Defeat the enemies there, then continue to ascend using the stairs. Keep going up until you will reach the workshop near the ballista.
You can approach and sabotage the ballista before going upstairs. There is a closed metal gate but you can jump up and climb over it.
Unfortunately, as soon as you climb up there, another thief is stealing the Quartz shard. Follow him to his lair. You can quickly unlock the Gangs Den Balloon Station if you go down another staircase and exit the room through the door. The mission marker for the thief towards the building by the waterfall.
Enter through the front door and the Quartz shard is yours.
Shard of Quartz at Akenash Ruins
The Akenash Ruins Quartz – Akenash Ruins
“No one’s sure why the Quartz ended up in the claws of a crow – but there it is, glinting in the sun as the bird flaps just out of reach. Try to catch it, and it’ll vanish into the ruins. Twice. Third time’s the charm, maybe… unless goblins get to it first.”
Travel to the Akenash Ruins’ Old hideout. From the docks, scan for the Quartz and lock onto it to find it somewhere below Styx. You will have to work your down from there.
As the description states, a crow has the Quartz shard. It needs to be followed around the ruins until you can finally get it. First, the crow is hiding in an archway just below the first Goblin area. It will fly up and over to the arches on the other side.
As soon as you approach it will fly further up, landing on a broken pipe. This time, the crow will leave the first Goblin flying across to the other side of the abyss.
Look for a crawlspace in this upper area that takes you into a tunnel with explosive mushrooms. Exit through the hole right next to the mushroom.
Jump over to the bridge and climb up using the cracks in the bridge wall. The crow has dropped the Quartz shard amongst the Goblin on the bridge. Deal with them to get to the Quartz. You can throw a glass bottle near a mushroom to deal with all of them at once.
Shards of Quartz at Turquoise Dawn
The Sawmill Core – Turquoise Dawn
“In their effort to conquer all of Turquoise Dawn, the human Empire unleashed a new tool – a quartz-powered saw cutting timber for their relentless invasion. But if that shard vanishes, even the sharpest blades lose their bite – and the Empire might just learn that conquest isn’t as unstoppable as it thinks.”
Make your way to the sawmill from the Infested Swamp. You can go through the checkpoint and drop the bridge on the other side to advance.
The sawmill is the structure just behind the checkpoint. It looks as if the Quartz shard is somewhere on the higher levels, on the terrace.
You can access the sawmill through the ground floor window. There, you can climb up a rope just above a mining cart.
The three levers on ground floor will stop the Quartz shard on the upper floor from rotating. They are where the glowing chain ends. The patrolling guard can be eliminated by poisoning his water just next to the entrance door. Once you’ve dealt with the patrolling guard you can work on the levers.
The Quartz Shard upstairs can now be accessed. The big guard will start patrolling. Poison the fruit bowl before pulling the last of the three lever to get rid of him discretely.
The Lost Shard – Turquoise Dawn
“Nestled in the depths of a roach’s lair, a shard lost to time waits in Turquoise Dawn. But try to snatch it – and you’ll find out why roaches bite back.”
The Lost Shard is near the Sawmill just below the “sawmill overlook tree” shown in the screenshots below.
This time, wildlife has to be avoided or killed before the Quartz shard can be absorbed. To leave, pick up the “seed” in front of one of the victims and drop it in the flower next to the closed entrance.
The Ballista Charge – Turquoise Dawn
“Quartz calls. This time, it powers the Empire’s brutal invasion deep in orc lands. – their newest weapon, a merciless siege engine that keeps the orcs at bay. But steal their Quartz, and who knows how long that advantage will last.”
The third Quartz shard at Turquoise Dawn is just above the sawmill. You can use one of the platforms hanging on the rope to climb up there. There is also a Balloon Fast Travel point nearby. Perfect for returning to the Zeppelin after you’re done. There is a lever near the ballista on the top floor of the structure.
After pulling the lever, the Quartz shard will be released on the level below the ballistas. There is a armoured guard standing right below the chandelier. Dropping it will take care of the guards closest to the shard.
On the way back to the balloon across the bridge, make sure to also collect a blueprint inside the tree cave, where the guards patrol.
